Seven questions, the same seven for everyone, new each day at midnight New York time. Name anything that fits. Every valid answer counts; the rarer it is, the more it is worth.
Finish today's seven and a practice round opens: seven more, never ones you have played and never the coming week's. Play as many as you like, free.
Type an answer and press Enter. Spelling does not have to be perfect: Enter corrects your guess to the answer it matches and locks it. Where a guess could be two answers ("Garfunkel"), the box offers the better known one; Enter again locks it, or change it. A guess that is not recognised costs nothing but the seconds it takes, so keep guessing until something lands. Short answers get 30 seconds, "artist - title" answers 45.
Each answer earns a percentage from its rank among every valid answer: the most obvious earns 1%, and an answer past the thousandth best known earns 99% however many rarer ones there are. Each question owns a seventh of the record, and your percentage decides how much of it the needle plays; at 90% and up an answer is Once In Albumillion and plays its whole seventh. Seven of them reach the label.
